Cage ministry to launch on 16th June 2012
We're excited to announce the impending launch of our own cage football ministry, in the summer of next year. This builds on the success of two visits by British YFC's NOMAD team and our own use of a borrowed cage for summer mission in Buckie a couple of years ago. Cage football is a great tool for mission - it's different, fast-paced, draws a crowd (it's hard to miss an 8' high, 25' diameter cage!) and can be run with a small team - making it easy to talk one-on-one with young people as they gather round. Off the back of the missions we've run already we've had some great conversations with young people and are sure that God wants us to do much more. We also plan to make the cage available to churches and other groups who wish to partner with us.
This is a leap of faith for us - a capital investment of £7300 pounds plus additional costs for staffing - so above all please pray for our team as we embark on this. We also need your help - could you:
- sponsor one of the metal cage panels for £250?
- volunteer to join cage missions? Either joining in the football, or simply being available to talk with young people who gather round the cage.
- volunteer to help with admin, transport or other background support of the cage team?
