North East Scotland Youth for Christ are looking for a youth worker to take over the existing outreach work in Aberdeen and the North East, starting 5th Jan 2015. The appointed person will help the executive with the development of the work of North East Scotland YFC regarding strategic vision, direction, and support for young volunteers.

They will also be actively involved in the hands on youth ministry, with main focus on the Tillydrone area, and St Machar Academy. This is a deprived area, and there is a real need for reaching out to the secondary age young people with the good news of Jesus. The executive board will cover the administrative side of the ministry. You will be working alongside other Christian agencies already in this area.

A driving license and some experience in youth work are desirable, but not essential, plus a big heart for reaching out to young people.

Training will be given, plus ongoing support from the NESYFC Team.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for this post to be filled by a committed evangelical Christian. Regulation 7(2) of the Employment Equality (Religion or belief) Regulations 2003 applies.

The post will be for 5 days a week, and starting salary  £16,585 p.a.
