Bible Declaration

Our friends at YWAM Aberdeen are holding a Bible declaration over Aberdeen city during January 2009...

A few words from them:

"We are planning to read the entire Bible out loud in Aberdeen in the month of January! A challenge, but one that we believe God is speaking to us about.

We will be making it available to as many people as want to be involved. The idea is that you sign up for a day, two, three, however many you want, and during that day you read out loud the portion of Scripture allocated to that day. You can do it all at the same time, or spread it out during the day. You can do it alone, invite some friends, your house group, your church prayer meeting... anything. You can read it anywhere, in your house, church, car, at the beach, in town...

We believe God wants His truth to be proclaimed in full in Aberdeen during the month of January as a declaration of who he is and what He has done, and that we are welcoming in the New Year to this proclamation. It will probably take between 2 and 2 1/2 hours per day to read the sections so it's not a small commitment, but if only 31 people were willing the whole month would be covered. We are expecting that God will speak to us too and give us fresh revelation of Him and His Word, a new passion, focus and zeal, and He is always faithful when we make space and time for Him - He will turn up!"
