Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We need more volunteers of all ages to help behind the scenes with the various tasks involved with running this ministry. Can you spare a few hours a month?

North East Scotland Youth for Christ have been both blessed and privileged to be a part of the growing multi team ministry which is coming together as one body in Christ to follow His example and reach out to people where they are and particularly in Tillydrone and Seaton.

As you may know, we had a full time Youth Worker Curtis Sangbarani working with the young people of Tillydrone, St Machar Academy and to a lesser extent Seaton. The work included football coaching of the Riverbank Primary School Football Team, school pastor at St Machar Academy, befriending at Riverbank Primary School, Transforming Lives for Good at Riverbank Primary School, Cage football, discipling young people, helping out at the Mission and Lighthouse etc. We have seen that work impacting on young people in a positive way. See our latest newsletter link on home page.

Curtis has moved on to be part of another ministry on the south side of the city, we wish him every blessing in that role.

Our new youth worker  is Matthew Hamilton, he is continuing to work with the young people in Tillydrone, alongside members of the Lighthouse Charity.

However, North East Scotland Youth for Christ are still at a critical stage in our ministry regarding the manpower required behind the scenes to support and develop the front end work in Tillydrone and Seaton. At the moment it is difficult for us to see how the ministry can develop if we do not get more people on board. The work is being blessed, but there is much more we could be doing with more help.

Our full time Youth Worker Curtis Sangbarani, who was with us since the beginning of January 2015, moved in October 18 to join the Church of Scotland as a Pastoral Assistant/Youth Worker based in and around Cove and the south side of Aberdeen. We are very thankful to Curtis for all that he achieved among the young people of Tillydrone and the surrounding area during his time with us. He has achieved much and has provided a very solid base for the ministry among young people in Tillydrone to grow and develop.

We are going to recruit a replacement Youth Worker to be based in and around Tillydrone in what is both a challenging and exciting role. We are in the closing stages of preparing our Job Specification etc and will be advertising the role during January 2019.

Our cage football project is an exciting way of taking sports mission to young people across the North East. We need drivers with towbars on their cars to assist our team by towing the cage to different locations from the base in Aberdeen. Your expenses will be covered, and this is a simple way to support our vital work, particularly if you're not in a position to help with the direct work with young people.
